We are hiring a Robot Learning Engineer

Your role

You will do foundational work on our autonomy stack, and lead the autonomy efforts. You will leverage thousands of hours of task-specific teleop data from the field to train control policies to further increase the level of autonomy across all cleaning tasks on our robots. You will dive deep into how to collect high-quality data, how to train models that work 99%+ of the time, and how to achieve superhuman performance starting from human demonstrations.

What you’ll be doing

• Build infra to easily collect, label, store, inspect, and process data for imitation learning model training
• Train models to control the Loki bot in interaction-heavy tasks (wiping, door opening, manipulation)
• Develop eval protocols and ablations to measure model performance
• Build an AI team and shape the AI strategy of the company

You are a relentless builder who takes ownership and enjoys solving messy problems. In a small team like ours, you’ll have a massive impact on our engineering culture and how we build products.

What you should have

• 3+ years of experience training robot manipulation imitation learning policies from real data and successfully deploying them on real robots
• Track record of building data pipelines (ingestion, labeling, visualization, filtering, post-processing)
• Excellent software engineering skills (Python, C++, JavaScript, ROS, Linux, Docker, Pytorch/JAX, AWS/GCP)
